Who Is a Good Candidate for an Avéli Treatment?
Avéli treatment is recommended for patients with good skin tone and dimpling cellulite. It’s important to note that loose skin or fat deposits in the buttocks and thighs can be mistaken for cellulite. If you have loose skin in these areas, combining a skin-tightening procedure with Aveli is advisable for the best results.

How Is Avéli Performed?
Avéli treatments are performed in one of our modern treatment rooms in our Austin, TX office. Depending on the number of dimples, treatment sessions can last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. Before the treatment begins, Dr. Pearce will mark the preselected areas and administer a local anesthetic to ensure your comfort. A small circular hole will be created as an entry point for the Avéli device. Although a single skin opening can treat multiple areas, most patients require more than one opening per leg to treat all areas. The Avéli device effectively releases the bands throughout the fat responsible for cellulite, resulting in a more relaxed and smooth appearance of the skin.
What Is the Recovery for Avéli?
After the Avéli procedure, we recommended that patients refrain from heavy lifting or strenuous activities for 5 – 7 days. During this time, it’s normal to experience some swelling and discomfort in the treated area, along with bruising. However, these symptoms should gradually subside within a week. To help reduce swelling, we advise wearing compression leggings for 7 – 14 days following the procedure.
